From Overwhelmed to Energised: A Simple Morning Habit That Made All the Difference

As someone who used to reach for their phone first thing in the morning, I know personally how it can make you feel. There is a sense of urgency, almost like you are already behind on something, as you scroll through notifications and messages.

But Generally, when we wake up in the morning, our minds are often at their freshest after a good night’s sleep. However, the immediate bombardment of screens, from scrolling through social media to checking emails, can quickly overwhelm our senses and leave us feeling drained before the day has even started.

So, today I tried not to engage in screen in the morning, and I’ve noticed a considerable difference in how I feel. Instead of immediately grabbing my phone, I took a few moments just to breathe and be present in the moment. I might stretch my body, make a cup of tea, or just sit quietly and reflect on the day ahead.

This simple act of disconnecting from screens has made a difference in how I approach my day. I felt more focused, energised, and centred, and I’m better able to tackle whatever challenges come my way.
